Friends of Sustainability (2022)

To continue to raise awareness of the importance of sustainable practices and their development within the hospitality industry, and following the success of our original events series, we have put together more events with like-minded friends and industry partners.

Round One - Local Heroes Dinner

On Sunday, 1 May, we will serve a long tasting menu ($1,080 + 10% per person) that features Roganic’s favourite locally reared meats and produce from trusted suppliers.

Each pair of guests will bring home a bag of Fresh Farm Surplus Crops from The Hong Kong Farmer's Pride 農友心 - an association that brings organic farmers together in Hong Kong.  By working closely with local farmers, we help avoid food waste, reduce carbon emissions, and support the livelihoods of the people who work hard to feed us.

Round Two - Climate Action Luncheon

On Sunday, 29 May, Roganic will host a special charity lunch ($2,080 + 10% per person) with ingredients – fruits, vegetables, and seafood - sourced within 160 kilometres of Hong Kong.

The menu is a cross-collaboration with some of the city’s most acclaimed restaurants including one Michelin-starred Roganic Hong Kong led by Chef Ashley Salmon, one Michelin-starred Indian restaurant CHAAT by Chef Manav Tuli, new avant-garde Italian restaurant Estro by Chef Antimo Maria Merone, and one Michelin-starred refined Cantonese restaurant Man Ho by Chef Jayson Tang.

After cost deductions, all profits will go towards Zero Foodprint Asia, which addresses greenhouse gas emissions through investments in carbon farming.  They recently launched their 'Restore Fund' which helps farmers shift to better organic farming practices.
